A correctly installed inverter gives reliable mains power onboard, allowing you to safely run AC (240v mains) appliances wherever your boat takes you.
As a marine electrician, I work with boat owners to install and configure inverters, ensuring they are correctly sized and properly integrated into the existing electrical system. Correct fusin and cable size is essential, as the currents involved can be significant. Battery capacity is also a key consideration when installing an inverter for your boat.
I also troubleshoot and upgrade existing AC installations. This can include 240V sockets, mains chargers, electric cookers and other AC equipment.
In any 240v installation, earth protection is essential to ensure the system is safe. Where both shore power and inverter power are required, I can install manual or automatic changeover systems, allowing you to safely switch between the two power sources.
