For this project, I worked as a marine electrician on a Chris-Craft 215 based at Littlehampton Marina in West Sussex. The owner wanted to upgrade the vessel’s onboard entertainment system with a high-quality audio setup suitable for spending longer periods on the water.

The project involved installing a Fusion 2100 stereo with DAB digital radio, paired with JL Audio M6 marine speakers and a JL Audio amplifier.

The new system provided a significant improvement in onboard audio quality while being designed specifically for the marine environment.

The increased electrical demand from the new entertainment system also required an upgrade to the vessel’s power supply. Battery capacity was increased to provide greater energy storage, while a new solar panel and MPPT charge controller were installed to help replenish the batteries and maintain the system when the boat was away from shore power.

The completed marine electrical upgrade provided the owner with a powerful and reliable entertainment system, supported by additional battery capacity and solar charging to make sure there was sufficient power available for enjoying time on the water.
