Electrical work undertaken

I was first called out as a marine electrician to fault-find a lithium battery charging issue on this Colecraft narrowboat. A lithium battery had been paralleled with other lead acid batteries in a dangerous configuration, as well as a long-list of other electric issues. What followed was an extensive re-configuration of the boat’s electrics to bring it into conformity with ISO 13297. The work comprised all of the boat’s electrical systems and parts, from lithium battery installation, DC-DC charging, solar, the engine start and glow-plug circuits, new alternator and rectifier, cable re-sizing and over current protection.
